The Slow Music Movement Blog

Mostly we put our daily recommendations here for the blog readers among you, although occasionally we go longform.
Reading about music is a bit like looking at pictures of food - not nearly half as much fun as getting involved, so we scribble a brief intro to hopefully whet your appetite but you're better off just hitting play. Not very "slow" I know but there's a lot of music to check these days & hopefully you'll find the recommendations a handy filter.
Trust your ears, not opinions.

Black Brunswicker - High Peaks (Ramble)

What Your Ears Say & The Cover Looks Like

What We Say

If you enjoyed yesterday's tip & you need more ethereal electroacoustics & ambient folk vibes in your life, (entirely understandable) then head right over to the new Black Brunswicker LP for Ramble Records which is unworldly whispering adorned & even more weightless.

What The release Notes Say

High Peaks is a collection of tracks that continue on with my acoustic-ambient explorations. These tracks are a collection of recordings over the past year. The name comes from the high peaks we experience in life and celebrating these little wins, as well as my new found love of the Peak District. Hopefully these tracks can fill your imagination of chilly journeys through dark moors and steep hills.

This album also includes several tracks that features vocals, a first for a Black Brunswicker release. Tracks with vocals include - Leave Me Here, Home Now, The Ghosts we keep Inside Ourselves, and Green Fields.

High Peaks Vinyl Pre-orders are available on Ramble Records. EU/UK and US distro info coming soon
