Monsieur et Madame LoOps are a dynamic dub infused, electro-acoustic, funky punk Lat-reggae duo from Occitanie, although they've been hopping across borders and genres since day one of their party starting mission, which was probably inspired by the ripples in time and space caused by Manu Chao's Clandestino album. I was in Barcelona from 2006-2016 and they would have certainly fitted right into the Mestizo mayhem of the Canibal Sound System nights at Sala Apolo.

A late 80s digi-dub riddim and playful synths warm up the speakers, soon joined by a sub-woofer testing bass that signals it's time to start the dance. Francophile dancehall lyrics then spew though the mic in rapid fashion, I'm not sure what they're saying but they sound like they mean it and they ride the riddim like pros, with Madame dropping a verse for all the ladies in the house. It's a proper liven up the dance transmission and it's good to see the Mestizo continuum is in good hands.
