The Slow Music Movement blog is a passion project born from my life long enthusiasm for sharing lesser known, independent artists and alternative music, and it's with a heavy heart that I can no longer accept music submissions via email, as I just don't have time to deal with the hundreds of monthly mails. However, if you do wish to submit music for consideration then you can use Submithub to contact me, where there are two options:

• Firstly there is a limited, unfortunately over subscribed free option, where I currently receive 30-50 tracks a week, listen to them briefly and make a snap decision, but be quick this queue reaches its limit fast!

• Secondly there is also a paid option where, for a small fee, I guarantee to listen to your music and will provide some feedback if the music is unsuitable. If the music is TSMM suitable then I will share either via the newsletter, blog, social media or in a playlist, or possible all three.

You can also use Submithub to contact loads of other blogs, playlists, Youtube channels & influencers around the world quickly and efficiently - TSMM's label uses the platform to help promote every release. The platform also has some great tools like a free smart-link creation tool, an AI detector and a playlist checker so you can check if a playlist is legitimate and not bot boosted. They have also just launched a service where they will, for a fee, create Meta adverts to promote your release. Submithub is a very useful, and without doubt the most transparent and effective song submission platform on the market.

The financial contribution from submissions goes someway to making the blog sustainable, helps keep the lights on and justify the time and effort I put into maintaining it, which in turn supports the indie and alternative ecosystem in this increasingly major label and algorithmically controlled music industry.
