Waz-u is a London multi-instrumentalist who can park his stool behind a drum set or in front of a piano without looking worried. He's also got roots in electronic music, with a preference for live sounding hardware driven, rather than painstaking point and click computer based production. If that wasn't enough he's also a keen collaborator and also got a good ear for a vocalist. So far so good.

"Vermillion: G Major" appeared in instrumental form more recently on his Preludes: Dusk Psalms album on Biodiversity which he co-produced with G9 Luv, and which is a fine collection of star gazing downtempo and ambient electronica, but originally it was a zero gravity dream pop track featuring some excellent vocals from the mysterious Lilyg, and you should check it out.
A simple but compelling synth motif and an ambient breeze usher in Lilyg's vocal which immediately weaves its way through the soundscape, gently swirling the ambient electronica in its tailwinds, as it glides on the sonic thermals, her voice unhurriedly rising from a whisper to gentle song as she softly and intimately spins her tale of modern connection.
It's as sensual and seductive slice of dream pop that I've heard this year, get on it.
