Tetuan are an uncompromising, forward looking psychedelic rock fusion outfit consisting of Cristiano Coini, Edoardo Grisogani, Giuseppe Franchellucci, Alessio Beato and Domenico Candellori who lurk in the Macerata shadows, dreaming up new ways to melt young Italian minds. For their latest single they've enlisted fellow tripper, saxophone player and electroacoustic composer Laura Agnusdei to help them with their mission

This new track has been a while in the making, Tetuan's last album was way back in the Age of Virus, and it doesn't sound like they've ditched the psychoactive drug intake or love for shadowy ritualism in that time.
The track starts with an eery back street late at night meets otherworldly soundscape that rides patiently building and layering DIY percussion. Just over a minute later and a thunderous bassline kicks in, which ignites a loose motorik drum pattern on a full kit - we're off. This is maximum density krautrock, the winding psychedelic path laid at the start suddenly straightens up and heads directly for the heart of the sun, aided by Laura Agnusdei who, instrument shrouded by various effects units, variously weaves her saxophone through or soars over the lysergic swirls and driving rhythm, barely keeping her head above the choppy, dense sonic waters. It's a serious slice of psychedelic fusion music that doesn't sound like too much else and bodes well for the forthcoming album on the ever interesting Maple Death Records.
