The cover art for Saltbreaker and Yali Rivlin's Willow album, showing a vibraphone with a saxophone on top in a grayscale image. Text reads "WILLOW saltbreaker + yali rivlin" against a plain background.

After recommending the title track in the singles round up last Friday, I rather belatedly realised it was part of a rather wonderful album. To be honest I don't have much more to add, apart from correcting that Saltbreaker is just John Hanson, not a duo, as the rest of the LP is similarly blessed by Yali Rivlin's soft sax which weightlessly floats over Saltbreakers, new age, ambient jazz, electroacoustic wonderland, accentuating the feeling of serenity & well being. The perfect Sunday morning soundtrack.

Music producer John Hanson aka Saltbreaker in headphones playing a keyboard in a dimly lit room, with photos and framed art on wooden walls, creating a focused, creative mood.

This album was created from two improvisational sessions and minimal overdubs at the Deli in Detroit, MI in the fall of 2023.
