Peter Manheim is an NYC drummer, percussionist, producer, and composer with a penchant for fusion vibes, and as well as being director of operations of his own cool crew is also a member of the TSMM fave "Resavoir." collective.

Sadly this review is also an obituary as Modou "Mamadou" Sarr who plays tama (Senegalese talking drum) sadly passed away just weeks before this release, having left his mark on "In Time".

The full release is well worth your time as it floats through jazz fusion time and space, nodding at the 20th century greats whilst also forging new paths with the driving, searching, universe exploring "The Gate", the astral meditation of "Lost Dayz" or full on cosmic immersion via the Sarr blessed, "In Time", where his fleet hands add all the right fills in all the right places and give the twenty first century guitar an ancient foundation.

Sad news about Sarr; he left the planet too soon, but his talking drum will still be saying something decades from now as it resonates around the world via this and other fine recordings.
