The cover for Or Kantor's, "The Golden Temple Revelation" single, showing an abstract orange temple with geometric design on a gray background. Text reads: "OR KANTOR, THE GOLDEN TEMPLE REVELATION, FEAT. SEFI ZISLING."

Self taught, Or Kantor is a respected tatoo studio head, multidisciplinary artist and craftsman by day, with a nice line in evocative, ethno-ambiguous, "Surfterranean" music making by night. I do wonder how some people fit it all in.

Or Kantor sitting on stool with guitar, wearing white shirt, against red background with yellow starburst. Calm expression.

A visit to his tattoo studio by an Anova Records A&R person saw his 2024 debut album Sarda Sarda signed to the label, and a year later his sophomore is on the shelves of your favourite music store. This time round he's dialled down the surf and notched up the easy breezy jazz and vintage library music vibe: it's a cool start to finish listen.

I'm particularly taken with "The Golden Temple Revelation" which grooves through the speakers with the help of trumpet playing TSMM fave Sefi Zisling. Powered by a a bumping nu-jazz rhythmic loop, girl group backing vocals and Kantor's impressive jazz guitar Zisling adds the frosted glass to the world music mixology, blowing a cool jazz breeze over the sun baked tune, and if you're vibin' on this make sure you check the album.
