Schooled at Lillehammer's music institute, and surrounded by the rugged beauty of Norway's Western coast, MAIH is starting to make pop music waves that are rising above her pine-clad mountain surrounds and starting to wash up on far-flung shores.

So far, MAIH's been charting an unapologetically mainstream course, her undoubted vocal talents riding commercial radio/playlist-pleasing production, coupled with some familiar-sounding party-banging beats that will rock a teen-filled live show.

However, there's a pleasing dreaminess and depth to the low-gravity folktronic meets subtly anthemic dream pop new single "August", that sees her undoubted vocal talents glide over some simple yet seductive acoustic guitar strumming and atmospheric electronics; her voice simultaneously catchy, sweet and seductive. The more thoughtful music wisely takes a back seat for a change, elevating rather than distracting from her talents, and refreshingly encouraging the listener to dream and imagine a bit, rather than spelling it out and trying too hard to please - the perfect foil for this wary tale of youthful affairs of the heart.
