Lebenerde obviously prefers to let his music do the talking, there is scant information online, although his Instagram account suggests a nature loving soul from a lusher/wetter (delete depending on your optimism/pessimism levels) northerly region.
His vocal delivery gives another clue. His hushed approach invites you to lean forward so as not to miss a word, so perhaps a more considered, thoughtful character rather than table dancing, life and soul of the party? If so that's fine with me, there is too much shouting going on these days. Don't be deceived by his vocal reticence though, he's going deep - no idle chit chat or self aggrandizement, preferring instead to extole the virtues of prioritising love, comfort and the outdoors. Hallelujah.
The production is equally subtle and refreshingly low key. Natural field recordings taken from long walks on isolated trails are coupled with the gentlest of piano caresses and subtlest of electronic strokes, then wrapped around a surprisingly robust low frequency pulse. Lean forward to hear that too, this is music that rewards active, engaged listening.
The track is part of his new EP and I highly recommend starting at the start and finishing at the finish. Give him a follow too, I think he's one to watch.
