Quick post as I went out hiking today & it's almost wine o'clock. If you need a serene Sunday soundtrack then I highly recommend sinking into this one take moment of ambient magic from the ever reliable Lake Mary & his lapsteel, who was obviously vibing with the multi-talented filmaker Pinyonpine wielding his wooden synths. Cheers.
Lake Mary Pinyonpine
What The Release Notes Say:
Lake Mary is the work of Chaz Prymek, whose music and art has been hailed/criticized as being "a white noise orgy for people who still believe in the power of saying I love you"
pinyonpine is the music of Tj Nelson, a filmmaker from Salt Lake City, UT exploring analog, modular and music esoterica.
"Tj and I have known each other a long time, both being from Salt Lake City and around the art and music scenes there, but never made art together until Tj started sharing some music he was working on with me more recently. I was coming through Utah to visit my family and we decided to get together and make some noise. We set up some microphones, found some tones we liked and this just flowed out of us. Tj has a background in film and television, narrative and mood seem to be evergreen for him. If I remember correctly this is everything we played that night. All in one take, live in his little studio upstairs. Feels to me like we stumbled upon something special.
We hope this can be a gift of pause for a moment. Open the windows if you can, put on headphones and lay down somewhere, let the movie in your mind play for a little while. Thank you for listening." - Chaz Prymek for Aural Canyon
