Jérémie Fauquet - Factory 7 (Self Relese) [Ambient]

A graduate of the Valence music conservatory, Jérémie Fauquet has turned his hand to creating music that surfs the intersection of modern classical and ethereal electronica with a distinctly cinematic vibe, he's a force for slow musical good.

Whilst much of Fauquet's work has a familiar, classic soundtrack feel, he also likes to explore deeper electronic realms on occasion, and I'm glad to report that "Factory 7" follows that more leftfield, machine infused path.
Apparently "Factory 7" stemmed from a desire to work with mainly concrete, stone and metal, a process I'd be intrigued to learn more about. I can definitely hear the materials in some of the micro-sounds and field recordings, but I wonder if they were manipulated to produce some of the more dominant electronic constructs - have a listen and let me know!
The track starts with some deep pads that are sprinkled with some heavy dust before they are sent on their space exploring ambient mission. It's not long though before the clanking and clunking of some real or imagined industrial process enters the fray as the track enters an minor bout of mid-flight turbulence, the perfect time to slip on your headphones and better explore the sonic details of this gently restless soundscape that picks you up at the space port, gives you an illuminating, ultimately restful and restorative tour of the solar system before returning you safely home.
