This is the cover of Fotonman's, "Find Me" single. It shows bare trees silhouetted against a hazy sky with glowing sun, creating an eerie and serene mood. Dark foreground, warm colors.

Fotonman has no meaningful online presence which is a shame as his music is good, there really is no need to hide in the shadows, and it also means I don't have much to say here.

He announced himself to the world in 2022 with a series of early, rather raw high school demos but returned in 2023 with a pretty slick four track EP that explored the ambient condition and also, rather randomly, threw in a cod-reggae downtempo powered song. The project sounds like a young or new artist finding his stylistic feet and honing his craft, and the signs are promising.

Fotonman's latest missive from his secret hiding place is the aptly entitled, "Find Me". The track starts with some contemplative acoustic guitar picking, and it's not long before it's joined by what sounds like some voice samples turned ambient pads which slowly morph into the real vocal deal, albeit in ghostly fashion. The succinct spectral voice then softly sings the track's title under the careful guidance of the minimal guitar that is in no hurry to drift through the speakers. It's a simple, seductive slice of dreamy ambient guitar, and further confirmation that wherever he is, ambient is what he does best.
