Drönestryke are Ohioans: Brady Lewis on sitar, and Justin Rayner and Natah Zangmeister on the more traditionally Americana banjo and washtub cello, respectively. I guess the sitar inclusion might have hipped you, but together they've formed quite the trio where they weave their stringed instruments into folk-rooted cosmic tapestries.
The opening track teases a lysergic listen, and it's not long before time is standing still, the mantric repetition births parahippocampus-bound hyphae and you're in a state of familiar yet far-out string-induced hypnosis, contemplating hippy trail adventures and pondering the universal consciousness.
Jump on this Zanesville deep roots meets freak folk bus to who knows where, and don't look back.
