David Cordero is an ambient‑music composer and producer born and based in Cádiz, southern Spain. He has been active under his own name since 2012, and whose work has appeared on a number of go-to ambient labels including Home Normal, Dronarivm, Archives, Lontano Series, Past Inside the Present and others, and he's even set up his own Noray imprint. He's a serious force for horizontal music good

Ease your way into the week with the sedate, congenial sonics of David Cordero's new ambient LP for Home Normal. Looking out over the terracotta tiled rooftops of a sleepy Portuguese city enjoying a public holiday lie in, surrounded by the early morning blue skies of what promises be a fine summer day, & the distant sound of swallows & seagulls augmenting the sleepy soundtrack through the partially open windows, all seems right with the world.

What The Release Notes Say

As we mark our fifteenth year of existence, we couldn't wish for a more perfect album that reflects our desire to release 'organic ambient music' as we stated all those years ago as in David Cordero's latest masterpiece.

Remarkably it has been eight years since his solo debut 'El Rumor del Oleaje' was released on Home Normal, followed by 2021's 'Lambda: {λ}'. Met with critical acclaim, these sold out in record time as awareness of David's immense talent is finally being recognised.

'Important Small Details' in name and sound truly marks what Home Normal has always been about in its magical melodic structures, timelessness and vibrant sense of memory. Indeed it is the sound of something seemingly heard years ago in more innocent times that rings true despite ourselves, piercing the tired nature of these hurried and confusing modern times.

David is the finest proponent of deeply beautiful electronic-ambient music that we know and on a personal level I feel this work isn't just truly special within this field of ours, but indeed is a masterpiece of any genre that deserves all the love it will no doubt get.
