Previously known artistically as Nazcaman, before deciding he had nothing to hide, Darius Žičkus is a Lithuanian pianist, composer and producer now based in Cornwall, where he channels the South Western wilderness and his intimate relationship with his natural surroundings into contemporary classical, piano-infused electronica and quietly experimental music.

"Sonnet B, The Morning", is inspired by Cornwall's rugged, stunning coastline - if you know, you know, and the county's Portholland beach in particular. The inspiration was taken from an out-of-season spring stroll along the deserted beach and that is reflected in the quiet and contemplative nature of the tune. The piano is suitably minimal, reflecting the unpopulated surroundings, and unhurriedly threads its way through some low-lit, pleasantly ambiguous found sounds, Žičkus wisely eschewing the temptation to include the sounds of Atlantic waves meeting land, which would have overwhelmed the subtle key presses. It's a deeply introspective ambient piano composition, and I suggest you find a quiet, companionless moment and close the door before you enjoy it.
