The cover for Corker Conboy's In Light of that Learnt Later album, showing black text on a bright green background reads: CORKER CONBOY, IN LIGHT OF THAT LEARNT LATER, BAD INFO, BADINFO1. Bold, scattered layout.

TSMM is more about making sense of the lazy, louche end of the modern, alternative music landscape, but occasionally a leftfield reissue resurfaces that really does deserve some attention. So tune into Corker Conboy's 2003 gem, a sunny place where balmy krautrock rubs shoulders with melodic post rock, Balearic minimalism gets jazz licked & dub tickled, & esoteric, hypnotic genre ambiguity is all around.

Release Notes

Post-rock/electronic duo Corker Conboy aka Adrian Corker & Paul Conboy announce a newly remastered reissue of their debut album In Light Of That Learnt Later. Originally released in 2003, and available for the first time digitally, featuring new artwork by graphic designer Joe Gilmore.

Recorded around the early noughties and originally released over twenty years ago in August 2003, ‘In Light Of That Learnt Later’ is a discrete modern classic of post-rock, dub, Afro-Brazilian and jazz-influenced composition. There is very little of the band on the internet, their releases falling sometime between dial up modems, My Space and before social media and Spotify. They did only two gigs, one in Porto the other in the Ritzy cinema Brixton and the only picture of the band is a drawing done by a street artist in Leicester Square.
