Blorgpulkfplorksickle just flickered on to TSMM's radar, and is another shadowy producer who prefers to let their music do the talking. In the absence of info I hit play on their streaming profile and the results were a wildly eclectic array of singles all released this year, from EDM bangers to attempts at Billboard infiltration and even acoustic folk, so a cohesive album doesn't seem to be on the cards anytime soon, but there is a quality to the genre ambiguous meandering.

The single that really caught my attention was the not very slow and rather poetically entitled, "In the meadows, he saw trees of white flowers". The tempo is immediately set with an urgent, yet warm drum and bass rhythm, quickly augmented by an equally amenable, patiently morphing synth motif that sets a liquid feel to the track. This might have been enough on its own for the DJs amongst you, but the frenetic pace is then tempered by a dreamy half sung, half spoken vocal that is put through all sorts of pleasing effects whilst the drums scurry and occasionally break down in well programmed respites, before carrying on their fast paced mission to hurl the lyrics and melodic work through the speakers as fast as they can. It's a fine slice of liquid, D&B powered dream pop and another accomplished showcase for this restless producer, who could be dangerous once they find their signature style, or decide to focus.
