There's not much information online about Beach for Tiger, apart from that they're a band that make soulful psyche, which is all good with me. They also live in London, and look like a nice bunch of blokes who'd you probably have a laugh with down the pub. Oh, they've also been releasing a steady stream of largely mellow, ocasionally danceable/swayable (delete as applicable) singles this year in preparation for their debut album due in 2026.

I wouldn't get on the wrong side of them though or else you might end up immortalised in song. "A Matter of Time" is an ode to a manipulative ex-lover who is way overdue some bad karma, but don't worry there's a sweetness to the vengefulness, the crew content to let time, even reincarnation exact retributive justice, rather than hasten the inevitable
The song doesn't waste any time getting straight into an easy, breezy yacht rocking groove that suggests the late seventies never went away, with some vintage synths floating serenely through the speakers like a welcome breeze on a hot summer day, the reverb allowing them to linger to hazy effect, as Anderson's distinctive, higher range vocals tell the tale of passion, pain and karmic plan, that once told spirals into a dreamy psychedelic territory as the band get to mess with the groove and let their hair down a bit. Revenge never sounded so good.
