The cover of Alyas', "Color Therapy" track, showing an abstract watercolor painting of a cardinal bird on a branch - vibrant red with pink and green splashes. Text "ALYAS" and "COLOR THERAPY" in corners. It's bold but conveys a tranquil mood.

Alyas is an ambient hobbiest from Sweden, and for a part-timer he's been transmitting an impressive stream of calming etherealism for an overly stressed world in the hope of helping people through their (mis)information bombed, capitalism stressed, Anthropocene anxious existence.

His latest production veers more over to New Age territory but with a pleasing update on the those wellness encouraging, calm state inducing vibes. Chimes chime, modular synths trickle like water from a mountain spring, a warm ambient breeze ensures everyone is comfortably warm at all times and machine noises and alien effects help transport tired minds away from the doom scrolling dread, gig economy uncertainty and marketing pressure to over consume.

It's another soothing, sofa friendly soundtrack from our man in Stockholm.
