Be Still The Earth, Hatsü & consule all have pretty serious ambient form, so I was intrigued to see what these three musketeers wold achieve on this joint venture for Slow Echo.
(Left to Right) Be Still The Earth, Hatsü & consule
I'm not quite sure who is doing what, but as the track is so nicely balanced it certainly suggests a team spirit and lack of ego on the parts of the artists, and when it sounds this nice I'm quite happy to just sit back, soak up the vibes and not worry about the who and whats.
Kicking off with some gentle tones it's not long before they're kept company by some string suggesting synths, whilst one of the trio lays down some cow bells he recorded whilst tending his flock or herd. Undulating pads, or perhaps old tape loops, distant guitar caresses and probably a few other sound sources I've still to identify come and go, all of them happy to eschew the limelight for the greater good, although I'm not going anywhere, I'll stay right here with my headphones on and have another listen if that's OK with you.
